Since acquiring a house i've become nearly obsessed with collecting images of inspiration, or simply put, a wish list.
Our first purchase (since we have chosen to "live like college students" for a few more years will probably be a cheap, yet hopefully stylish living room set. At the moment i'd rather sit on the floor or milk crates than bring the couch we have, or the collection of futons Garth's brother owns.
yuck.
plus...it's a lot more fun to slowly build a collection of nice furniture and home design than it is to rush into it with ugly, cheap things. Plus, i'd rather save money and buy 1 really nice item.

We've decided that we will probably, at some point, purchase a hutch/entertainment center for the tv, WITH DOORS. i demand doors. i HATE seeing tvs in a nicely decorated home.
we also plan on purchasing some sort of hutch/end table to put behind a couch or love seat to break up our long living room...
similar to:

OMG, look at the eames lounge chair. i want this living room. bad.
we may do similar colors, perhaps chocolate brown instead of blacks.
or, purchasing a triptych of artsy modern screens:

i have a BUNCH more pictures and design ideas that i hope to post.
but in the mean time, let me share with you a sneak peak at what i HOPE to purchase for my bed:

though, for a better idea of how it will look, the blue blanket in the following is very similar to the color of the trim in my bedroom. while the walls are also blue (a lighter, brighter) i think the crisp white of this set would settle nicely in there....even if not, look at those birds...i want.
